Amanda and Kadir met at a party when Kadir's friend playfully asked Amanda what her sign was, and she turned the question on Kadir. The two found they had more in common than both being Geminis. They were together for 7 years before tying the knot. Amanda and Kadir were married on September 24, 2011 at the San Gabriel Mission in Arcadia and Vibiana in Los Angeles; they honeymooned in Istanbul, Turkey.
Amanda and Kadir's wedding was inspired by their two cultures; Amanda is Mexican-American and Kadir is Turkish. She wanted a bohemian feel, so the decor included colorful flowers designed by Larissa at Inviting Occasion, Ikat fabric from Uzbekistan, Sari fabrics and turquoise vases and lanterns.
The dinner menu focused on seasonal ingredients and was created by The Food Matters. Guests were treated to three different wedding cakes made by Takes the Cake and a Sultan's dessert table filled with sweets and confections straight from Istanbul.
Amandas beautiful mermaid-style dress was designed by Ines DiSanto. Her hair and makeup were done by The Loft and Nikki Green, respectively. The groomswear was by Sarar and tuxedo rentals by Friar Tux Shop. Amanda and Kadir's lovely rings were from GNK Jewels.
The amazing paper goods were designed by Wedding Paper Divas and really complimented the entire look of the wedding. The Latin Trio band from Kimera Music was just incredible, playing a beautiful mixture of songs. Skye Blu Photography was amazing to work with. Thank you so much for these gorgeous images!
